What is NOC (loss-of-use coverage)?

NOC covers the "non-operation charge" — a fee for the business loss we incur when a damaged car can’t be rented out to the next guest.

This charge applies regardless of how minor the damage is or how long repairs take: $250 if the car is still drivable and can be rented in its current condition, or $400 if it can’t be driven or rented at all.

Adding NOC removes this $250–$400 charge. If you want to minimize unexpected costs after an accident, we recommend adding it alongside CDW and ZDW. Note that the $150 accident processing fee (covered next) applies regardless of whether you have NOC.
