Is insurance included in the rental price?

Yes. Basic Liability Protection (LP) is included in your rental rate.

It covers bodily injury up to $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, and property damage up to $50,000 per accident. It pays for harm you cause to other people or their property in an accident. Since it's built into your rate, you don't need to sign up separately.

Keep in mind that it only covers the other party. It doesn't pay to repair the car you're driving. If you want protection for the rental car itself, adding CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is a good idea.
