Today I visited Waka Sakura, a sushi restaurant inside Don Don Donki in Guam that opened in April 2024. Here’s a look at the restaurant and the menu.
Here’s the entrance.
Head in and tell the staff how many are in your party.
From outside, you can see into the dining room and the kitchen next to it. Everything looks very clean.
This counter is the first thing you see when you walk in.
The ceiling is decorated with cherry blossoms, a nod to the restaurant’s name.
There is also a waiting area available.
Inside, a rail runs down the middle with tables on both sides.
There’s plenty of seating.
I visited during dinner time, but it wasn’t too crowded that day.

The setup looks like a conveyor-belt sushi place. Chopsticks, soy sauce, and pickled ginger are on the table, and wasabi is brought out separately.
Instead of a conveyor belt, you order on a tablet and the sushi is brought to your table.
Everything is made fresh after you order.

California rolls are a local favorite.
Flounder engawa and steamed shrimp. Both were delicious.
Udon, Asahi draft beer, and mineral water.
The udon has a light, gentle flavor — very good.
