This time, let’s look at Macy’s in Micronesia Mall, a stop most visitors make at some point. Macy’s is one of the leading department stores in America and is the only
department store in Guam. It carries everything from fashion to home goods, with a focus on upscale American brands.
Macy’s has two locations inside the Micronesia Mall: one is dedicated to
women’s fashion, and the other features men’s, kids’ clothing, and home goods. Today, we’ll take a closer look at the women’s
section.
This is the store entrance from the center court on the first floor. You can also go straight in from the Concourse 1 entrance, where the red shuttle buses and other transportation pick up and drop off.
As you enter the store from the center
court, the first section you’ll see is the
cosmetics area. Next to it is the Godiva chocolate section. After that, you’ll find shoes, bags, jewelry & watches, sportswear, lingerie
& loungewear, and more.
In Guam, you can buy high-end cosmetics
at Macy’s and T Galleria by DFS in Tumon. Macy’s carries top brands like MAC, Estée Lauder, Lancôme, and Shiseido.
You’ll also find clean beauty brands like bareMinerals and Philosophy, along with haircare and body care products. There’s a great selection of gift sets and fragrances, making it a popular
spot for locals looking for presents.
For shoes and bags, you can find
American brands like Coach, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and Karl
Lagerfeld.
From glamorous party-style shoes and
bags to simple, functional workwear, and casual items perfect for holiday
fashion or beach time, each brand offers a wide variety of options.
In sportswear, you’ll find trendy and fashionable items from Calvin Klein, as well as
top sportswear brands like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour. Hoodies, popular not
only for sports but also for everyday wear, are especially loved by young
people. Depending on the season, they also carry outerwear from the outdoor brand Columbia.
The lingerie section also has a wide selection of American brands, from practical everyday underwear to sexier lingerie and statement pieces.
Take the escalator in the middle of the first floor up to the second floor, which is all women’s fashion. Many of the brands are the same as in shoes and bags, but you’ll also find Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY, and Vince Camuto, which started out as a shoe brand.
There are also plenty of beach &
surf brands like Roxy, Volcom, and O’Neill, as well as denim brands like Levi’s.
You could probably find everything you need to wear during your stay in Guam right here.
Besides the brand sections, there’s also a corner full of glamorous dresses. The selection was small when I visited, but around Christmas, when hotels host lots of parties, the racks fill up with gorgeous dresses — just browsing them is fun.
Here’s the view from the second floor, looking down at the open area in the middle of the first floor. You’ll often see men sitting on the chairs in this area, likely waiting
for the women’s shopping to finish. For some men, Macy’s women’s section may be the last place they want to be.
