souvenirs that are unique to the area.
Guam, which welcomes many tourists
throughout the year, has a wonderful variety of souvenirs that capture its
local atmosphere. From made-in-Guam items to delicious snacks and stylish goods
designed with Guam motifs, there’s plenty to choose from.
This time, I’d like to introduce a
recommended spot for souvenir shopping: Don Don Donki Guam. Don Don Donki is a
large Japanese discount store that offers a wide range of products including
food, daily necessities, household items, and outdoor and beach goods, and the
Guam store has a souvenir section as well.
Popular souvenirs from Guam include
made-in-Guam chocolates and cookies. Chocolates with macadamia nuts are a
classic and affordable choice.

Stones of Guam and coconut-flavored snacks, such as Tita’s Guguya, which have
been around since 1965, are also popular for their unique Guam connection.
Now, Guam souvenirs can be broadly
categorized into three types: the food items I just mentioned, beauty products,
and Guam-designed goods.
“Malikai” is a beauty brand handcrafted by
a Japanese woman living in Guam. Their lineup includes soaps, skin oils, and
skin balms.
Additionally, there’s “Kingfisher’s Noni,”
which features products made from noni fruit grown in Guam.
As for Guam-designed goods, there are
countless items, including those from the “I LOVE GUAM” brand, but here I want
to highlight the original Don Don Donki Guam merchandise, which can only be
found at the Guam location.
They offer T-shirts, shopping bags,
stickers, keychains, and more.
These tropical-themed goods are, of course,
exclusive to Don Don Donki Guam. They include insulated bottles, tumblers,
stationery, and beach towels, all of which are very stylish.
The globally popular Sanrio collaboration
goods with Don Don Donki are also available in their Guam version and are a hit
among the locals. The easily usable shopping bags are reasonably priced and
highly recommended.
