In my previous post, I introduced Macy’s Women’s Department, located within
Micronesia Mall, one of the leading department stores in the U.S. This time,
let’s explore the Men’s, Kids’, and Home sections.
The
store is located at the far end of Concourse 4. There are outdoor parking areas
that provide direct access to Macy’s, as well as an entrance to the store near
the end of Concourse 4. There’s also a multi-story parking garage, making it
convenient for those driving.
The
first floor is dedicated to men’s fashion. It offers a wide range of clothing,
shoes, bags, underwear, and even men’s fragrances, catering to both casual and
business styles.
The
brands available are similar to the women’s section, with both formal and
casual options. American brands such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, MICHAEL
KORS, and Tommy Hilfiger are all featured. ALFANI is Macy’s own original
fashion brand, and it’s one of the American brands that’s hard to find in
Japan. It’s a brand well-known locally in both the U.S. and Guam for both men
and women.
For
formal wear in Guam, island-style shirts are typically worn for business or
important occasions. However, depending on the situation, some may prefer
shirts and ties, or even a jacket style. Though people often think of casual
attire in Guam, you can find well-tailored suits as well.
Of
course, there is also a wide selection of sportswear, beach fashion, and denim.
This section certainly feels more in line with the relaxed vibe of Guam.
Take
the escalator to the second floor, where you’ll first find the baby and kids’
clothing section. The section is divided into boys’ and girls’ items, with
options for babies through teenagers. The range includes casual, sports, and
slightly dressy styles, covering all aspects of life in Guam.
When
you think of American baby and kids’ clothing, Carter’s is a well-known brand.
Its colorful designs and fun patterns are very refreshing.
You
can also find products from the American parenting brand SKIP HOP. Their
colorful animal-themed items are sure to stimulate a child’s curiosity.
There
is also a mini Toys “R” Us, featuring popular toys for American kids.
At
the far end of the baby and kids’ section is the home goods department. Here,
you’ll find bedding, bath products, and kitchen items.
There’s
a stylish and functional selection of kitchen appliances, gadgets, dishware,
glasses, and cutlery.
You’ll
also find plush towels and bathrobes that are soft and luxurious, just like
those in hotels. The home goods section offers items that make life more
comfortable and enriching.
Compared
to the all-encompassing women’s section on the first and second floors, the
men’s and kids’ sections might feel a bit more compact. However, as expected
from a department store representing the U.S., you’ll find sophisticated
products that incorporate trends in a well-balanced way. It’s a great spot for
tourists to enjoy an American-style shopping experience. I highly recommend
