TAICO Rent A Car

This time we’re looking at TAICO Rent A Car, a Guam rental car company that’s open 24 hours a day and offers low rates.

TAICO is located diagonally across from the PIC resort. If you’re staying at a hotel in Tumon or Tamuning, TAICO offers a free shuttle, and after you return the car, staff will drive you to the airport or your hotel for free. For details, see this page: https://now-guam.com/kr/hotel

Look for the sign at the entrance and head into the white building straight ahead. With so many cars parked out front, it’s easy to spot.

Inside, there’s a long counter and a waiting area. Check in with the staff at the counter, and they’ll walk you through the paperwork. Drinks are available — just ask at the counter.

The cars lined up in front of the building are reserved vehicles waiting for their renters. Staff inspect each one carefully and go over it with the customer at pickup. Returned cars are washed right away to keep them clean.

This is TAICO’s parking lot. The company keeps a large fleet on hand, but cars book up fast in peak season. Booking on TAICO’s website lets you compare rates for all of its vehicles, and the company aims to keep prices reasonable.

Here’s the odometer of the car being handed over: 13,954 miles, in excellent condition, with a full tank. Fill the tank back up at a gas station before you return the car.

At the time of this visit, TAICO was offering $15 back on the taxi fare from Guam’s airport to its office. Since it’s open 24 hours, you can take a taxi straight there whenever you land. Keep your taxi receipt and show it at check-in — the $15 comes off your final bill.
