How do I pump gas at a Guam gas station?

Most gas stations in Guam are self-service. Here’s a step-by-step guide.

First, park at a pump marked "Self Serve." Full-service pumps ("Full Serve") cost more since staff pump the gas for you, so choose self-service. Pick the green pump handle labeled "Unleaded" (regular gasoline).

Tell a nearby staff member or the register your pump number and say "fill it up." Open your fuel door, remove the cap, take the nozzle off the pump, and lift the lever that holds it in place — you’re ready to go. Insert the nozzle into your tank and squeeze the handle to start the flow.

The pump will stop automatically as the tank gets close to full, but this is just the sensor reacting — the tank isn’t completely full yet. Squeeze the handle again 3–5 more times to top it off, then return the nozzle to the pump.
