When you come to
tropical Guam, the number one must-do activity is without a doubt parasailing,
where you can feel just like a bird! Ocean Park offers various plans and is
conveniently located in Tamuning, close to Tumon hotels. You can easily book
online, and some plans even include hotel pickup, making it super convenient.
Get ready for
parasailing from Hagatña Boat Basin! As your boat heads out to sea, you’ll spot
surfers riding the waves at Guam’s hidden surf spots, building up your
excitement.
Once you reach the
open water, a quick “Stand up!” has you in a life jacket, snapping
your specialized carabiner onto the parachute. Before you know it, you’re
airborne, soaring into the sky! That initial flutter of nerves quickly turns
into a comfortable floating sensation. It’s an unforgettable experience,
feeling just like a free-flying bird.
The parasailing
was over in a flash, but it was an incredibly satisfying experience! This
parasailing-only package also included beach activities, and due to low tide,
we enjoyed them at Apra Beach in Apra Bay instead of Ocean Park’s beach.
At Apra Beach, you
can rent kayaks, SUPs (stand-up paddleboards), and inner tubes for free. There
are also plenty of other activities you can enjoy for an additional charge,
like banana boats and jet skis, really expanding your options for fun!
Watching people on
the two-person inner tube, pulled by a jet ski, skim across the water and get
tossed around while screaming on the Screamer is so exciting! It feels like
you’re experiencing it right along with them. I definitely want to try it next
time!
There was also a
sea swing, which was an excellent photo spot. It was especially popular with
women, creating a “picture-perfect” moment with the ocean as a
beautiful backdrop.
Simply floating in
the ocean is relaxing, but with this parasailing-only tour, we got to enjoy
everything from the sky to the sea. And for just $70, getting all that fun was
incredible value! Next time, I definitely want to try that screaming experience
being pulled by a jet ski!
